We are hiring - Midweight Graphic Designer

By Alex Traska on 27th Sep

Are you currently working freelance, as part of an in-house team or looking for a new challenge with more creative freedom and a great work/life balance? Maybe you’ve been developing your skills as a junior designer since graduation and you’re looking at taking the next step.

We’re looking for someone with at least 2-years experience, with a broad understanding of graphic design and its application in print and digital contexts to join our close-knit team at our city-centre design studio. We need someone who understands how to bring client's brands to life on responsive websites, app UIs, Riso-printed flyers, in the smartest high-end printed brochures, and as animations for social media content for highly-visible public campaigns enjoyed by thousands of people every day.

Are you that person?

In your new role at Makermet, you will work with the team and creative director on projects across sectors including sustainability and eco-friendly lifestyle publishing, public information campaigns, tourism, entertainment and hospitality, architecture, innovation, big-data, music publishing and luxury consumer goods. You will also have creative freedom to suggest and develop your own responses to client briefs for brand identity development, print design and user experience design. An understanding of the technical parameters and best design practices relating to user interface design for responsive websites is essential.

We’re a hard-working team of five, but we always balance the needs of our work with those of our health and lives. Our modern, flexible approach to working has swapped the designer cliche of working late into the night every week for walks in the park, the odd early finish and time to feel inspired, refreshed, and happy.

The permanent, full-time position is available from the start of November. Salary negotiable depending on experience.
